We have been in internet marketing industry for years. In our work we have met many online store owners. Many of them repeat the same mistakes, which usually result from ignorance and lack of understanding of the mechanisms of operation and promotion of online stores.

There is a common belief that a newly opened online store needs to be positioned. Positioning should be commissioned to an agency. Then all you have to do is wait for the traffic to increase, as the agency representative assured you so when selling your offer. The traffic will be followed by sales and you will be fine.

Unfortunately, in most cases this is a recipe for failure, unless you are lucky enough to find the right niche and agency.

Purpose

The purpose of this guide is to cover a wide range of actions you can take when promoting your online store.   • direct traffic – if we build a brand, many people will visit our website directly because they will be interested in our products

Within each of these channels there are many opportunities to build traffic and promotion. Some may require less investment, some more.

When positioning an online store, the key is the software, or so-called store script, on which the store runs. From the user’s point of view all stores are very similar. However, significant differences appear in less visible, but still very important issues. It is about the ability to edit technical details that have an impact on SEO.
