My last article on Britain’s unjust patriotic defense of the NHS garnered quite a lot of responses, many seemingly not getting my points at all, and some in absolute agreement. Free speech is free speech, feel free to keep commenting, but if you think the NHS is a good system I think you are deluded.

However today I want to take a slightly different angle and look directly at the media’s buzz around “Death Panels” themselves and the belief that Obama’s health care bill will lead to assisted and encouraged death, as well as rationed care.

Most of the arguments labeling this notion as absurd in the mainstream press point out that Obama never said there would be death panels. My response to this is, “what do you expect him to say?” It’s not as though he’s going to stand there and admit there are death panels is he. It’s pretty much irrelevant what he says, it’s his actions we need to focus on. If there are death panels planned they will be carefully worded and crafted in to the bill, not labeled “DEATH PANELS” in bold. This is a covert action. Remember when Obama won election support by saying he’d bring back the troops? Only to send more out there?[1] Or what about his claim that he wouldn’t be in the pocket of the corrupt bankers and Washington Lobbyists? His whole team is full of these types of people.[2] Politicians lie folks!

So lets dig in to the meat of the document. Section 1233 of HR 3200, is entitled “Advance Care Planning Consultation.” So there will be a consultation about the planning of illnesses/diseases that require advanced care.

This consultation, or panel is aimed at the elderly on medicare and can be brought up “if there is a significant change in the health condition of the individual or upon admission to a skilled nursing facility, a long-term care facility or a hospice program.”

In other words if they take a turn for the worse or are admitted to a home there will be discussions about “end-of-life services”.

In a bill that claims to be about reducing “the growth in health care spending,” Granny has a good reason to get worried about being “offered” information about dieing. They don’t even have to request it, doctors at any time can bring up and encourage the end-of-life directives, even with financial incentives![3]

I don’t know about you but when my Grandmother is encouraged by an authoritative doctor to do something, she does it. The true test will be to see how tough doctors get with the patients.

If the Government gets a stronghold on health, they can do anything, ration anyone and as Section 163 points out, invade your privacy by getting real time access to your bank accounts.

Those who think this is just about offering free health care to the public, think again. Governments are years past the point where they care about their citizens. There is always an agenda or profit strategy that sits behind the wide grin of the President in the dark corners of wall street and the dwellings of corrupt private bankers.

It might be a bit extreme to think the US will use euthanasia against the elderly like evil dictators in China and such, but America has had years of practice in learning the art of deception and covert agendas. Just because it’s not in your face doesn’t mean it isn’t going on.
