Supporting The Wars Is Not Supporting The Troops

Here I express my opinion that it is not possible to support the troops and the wars. This is just Orwellian doublethink; holding two contradictory ideas at the same time.

If you really want to support the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan lets try and bring them home and educate them about what the purpose of the wars really are:

Thanks for your link-up to my blog.

November the 11th certainly provided a few talking points as the organised ‘remembrance’ attempted to mix the old war dead with the current illegal wars and the soldiers dying in them. In this way, you are either ‘with them or against them’. I totally agree with you – there are better ways to support our troops than just getting all bleary-eyed about how brave their are – how about how young and naive they are. Exposing the suited criminals who are sending them to their graves for the continued maintenance of a corporate and military/industrial driven geopolitical agenda should be the highest priority. Not blindly following a national ‘remembrance’ because the government said you should.

Absolutely, couldn’t agree more. I almost think the military is a cult, how all the military families stick together keep up the delusion that everybody are heroes etc.
