Morning News Updates:

- News broke this morning that somebody held out US chat host David Letterman for extortion after discovering he had slept with several women that work on his show. Letterman did the clever thing of admitting it.

The mainstream media will likely hype up and drag out this story. They are renowned for taking pointless scandals such as this and using them as a distraction from real issues such as the G20 protests, the economy, privatization of the police force and Obama’s falling approval rating.

This is the last you’ll hear from it here.

- In some more serious news, as if Obama needed any encouragement for continuing war or starting new ones (Iran), UK foreign secretary David Miliband urged President Obama to send more troops to Afghanistan and the UK will follow his lead, having suggested a 500 solider increase.

It will be interesting to see if Obama could even meet the request now that he has brought back hardened troops from overseas to police US citizens, conduct homeland patrols and to support crowd control measures; in complete defiance of Posse Comitatus.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a real answer as to why our lads are even fighting in Afghanistan. It certainly isn’t to find Bin Laden. If it is to bring democracy to a country that is deeply religious and wants none of the western way of living then the war is a lost cause. And if it is to remove Taliban control, one needs to adequately define Taliban as opposed to local villagers defending their homeland. At least 37 American troops died in Afghanistan in September, without mentioning the UK’s scary death increase. And for what?

The only real reason that makes complete sense is that big corporations are making money from rebuilding the country’s infrastructure, firms are making money using private contractors instead of military, and arms manufacturers are making money supplying the troops with weapons. A sickening case of supply and demand that could go on forever.

- Supposed experts have published a study in the Lancet medical journal, claiming new babies could live to 100 if born in the western world, due to advances in technology and living standards.

However it must be noted that this goes against several studies in recent years saying life expectancy is decreasing due to diabetes, obesity, and economic collapse. In fact the corrupt bankers on Wallstreet began betting on life insurance policies for that very reason.

The fact is child cancers and illnesses are on the rise and the quality of our food is on the decrease. We are constantly exposed to chemicals that are dangerous to our bodies in food, water, toiletries and vaccines; and war around the world only looks to increase.

The elites such as David Rockefeller and Ted Turner have continually stated that the world needs a mass population reduction program. Studies such as this back up their claims because they can say the world will become overcrowded.

However The Lancet Medical Journal has been known to go against the grain of the elites, exposing the links between the MMR Vaccine and Autism, publishing more accurate numbers on death toll in Iraq and criticizing the Pope for lying about Condom failing statistics.

The truth is we’ll never know if life expectancy will increase until we live it.
