Labour Cry Like Glenn Beck In Run-up To Election
Feb 8th, 2010 | By Keelan Balderson | Category: News Archive, PoliticsAs politics becomes increasingly PR based, “New Labour” has taken to blubbering up on television to win support from those voters that for some reason still have faith in the current political system and cannot see its Marxist global governance undertones. They weren’t quite as convincing as Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News shill Glenn Beck, but they’ve clearly taken notes from America’s dramatization of…everything.
Alastair Campbell, former spin doctor to war criminal Tony Blair was first to shed a tear when interviewed by not so Hard “Hard Talk” host Andrew Marr. Apparently Tony Blair is really a nice bloke and Campbell felt sad that people were calling him a criminal for invading Iraq with no evidence.
His acting was so bad it seemed like he was auditioning for a role on MTV’s “reality” show The Hills.
Secondly Gordon Brown himself got very emotional when he spoke of the death of his baby daughter Jennifer during a television interview with Piers Morgan, which will air this weekend.
Nobody is crass enough to call “crocodile tears” in this instance, but the fact that Brown would allow himself to be interviewed on such emotional issues is still “convenient” for his campaign.
Britain is supposed to be a democracy, we elect politicians based on their policies and ability to represent the people. Instead we have a bunch of control freaks that will stoop to the level of crying on national TV in order to keep their power. Unfortunately in the “nanny state” we live in, insecure people will vote because they feel sorry for the politicians or because they think they are cool (research Simon Cowell’s plans to combine politics and X-Factor to see where that might go).
What we are seeing is the establishment’s last feeble attempt to win public support, but my guess it’s doing more harm to their agenda than good. We can put up with a bunch of stuffies ruling over us; that’s the British way, but will Dave the builder really want to vote for a nancy boy like Gordon Brown, or a hard nosed anti-elite like Nick Griffin?
I think the time has come to put a big red marker across all the parties, leaving the simple message “No Thank You”.
