Share Carbon Cap Auctions Threaten Small Companies and Joe Public

One of the contrived solutions still being pushed by the global warming alarmist politicians in the US is the carbon cap system, where the government defines the amount of carbon allowed in to the economy and creates permits for large carbon producing companies so that the nation doesn’t go over the given limit.

However things get murky with the idea of holding auctions for the permits, where the highest bidder gets to produce more C02. In this scenario smaller companies that produce some C02 will lose out on permits to the bigger corporations that can afford to outbid them. In the long term this could wipe out a whole level of smaller companies, resulting in consolidated wealth and power to the few at the top. This goes without mentioning the carbon credit trading bubble.

The government spin is that by auctioning the permits there is no favoritism. However there is indirect favoritism to the wealthiest companies when one takes an objective view.

Money raised by the auctions doesn’t go towards solving the alleged and over-hyped threat of climate change, instead it goes to the private federal reserve bank. If it were to be implemented on a world scale, it would go to the private World Bank and/or IMF. And even if the permits were given away to worthy companies, it will still hurt the average citizen.

Reducing the amount of carbon in circulation by using permits will hike up the prices for consumers due to scarcity. For example oil prices go up at the pumps when the big oil cartels decide to induce artificial scarcity to make a boost in profits. This threatens the average citizen’s buying power, directly during the biggest recession the country has ever seen.

Couple this rise in prices and recession with further plans to tax citizens on the consumer level for a personal carbon footprint, what you get is the top level banks and corporations expanding in wealth, while the average person falls in to poverty. All while solutions to the boogeyman of climate change are simply an afterthought. And when money does go towards green energies they are usually inefficient or directly cause harm to the third world. (See Bio-fuels scam).

On paper economists can say the economy is doing the same, or even improving. But it fails to differentiate between Joe Public and Mr. Multinational Corporation. It’s a completely criminal displacement of wealth.

Fucking morons. If we were talking about Carbon Monoxide, then there may be a problem. But this is Carbon DIOXIDE! One of the building blocks of PHOTOSYNTHESIS. Also called OXYGENIC PHOTOSYNTHESIS. The end product being, you guessed it! OXYGEN! It’s second grade science for chrissakes.

With a world full of plants, algae, and cynobacteria, I don’t think CO2 is going to be a problem unless you lock yourself in a small airtight box.

But what can you do? The world is also full of uneducated idiots who buy into all this crap along with anything Faux News tells them. You can’t change their minds because they were fed a heeping shitload of pseudo-science and are begging for more while they wait for 2012 to take them after they were so wronged by Y2K’s disappointment in a proper Apocolypse.

    You just can’t fix stupid.
