The Queen of Englands ancestors were indeed part German, but if you are "English" then you are also part German, Scandinavian, French, Gaul, Celt, Roman and or one of the many other groups of people that invaded the British Isles. As far as anyone has proven the "English" are predominately descended from the Angles, Saxons and Jutes. The Angles, Saxons and Jutes are from the Juteland Peninsual (Modern day Denmark) and northern Germany. England is actually means Angleland or "Land of the Angles". In 1066 William the Conquerer invaded England. He was Norman (French). William brought in a nomerous noble and commoners who intermarried with the "Angles". This developement was significantly different from what the "Angles" did approximately 600 years previously. When the "Angles" invaded "England" they pushed out the people who occupied England. These people became the Welsh. They are descended from a mixture of Gauls, Celts and another group of invaders, the Romans. The Welsh language is very similar in nature to the language spoken by the Britons who live in Brittany, France. The "English" are descended for mixture of people. Therefore all true Englishmen are in fact foreigners. Also, if you took the time to examine the geneology of the current dynasty of the British Royal Family, a.k.a. the Windsors you would find that Her Majasty Queen Elizabeth II is a blood ancestor of His Majesty King Henry VIII of England, Her Majesty Queen Mary (Mary Queen of Scots) and His Majesty King James I, King of England and Scotland. In short, when England's parliament brought in "those foreigners" all those years ago, they were not handing Great Britian over to foreign domination, they were mearly overlooking the "Catholic" claimants to the throne in favor of a "Protestant" one.
